7-28 November: Chinese Line Drawing (Bai Miao)
- 3-24 October: Traditional Chilean Landscapes (minimum age 14 years, 4 week course)
- 4-25 July: Bollywood Dancing (minimum age 14 years, 4 week course)
- 6-27 June: Henna Design (again, because it was so popular last time around!)
- 2-30 May: Henna Design: Learn the history of henna, designs, geographic significance, materials and much more. Students will design simple henna motifs and apply henna to each other’s hands.
- 4-18 April: Harakeke Weaving: Learn how to weave traditional Maori stars, flowers and konae (baskets) – suitable for ages 10 and up (10-13 year olds must be accompanied by a caregiver)
- 7-28 March: Ukrainian Doll Making: Motanka (this class is so popular we’re running it again! See below for details)

Back by popular demand. Make traditional Ukrainian dolls. These are precious items that are passed down through generations and are believed to be Guardian Angels (or talismans, amulets) of the families. Its many modifications may be also used as children’s toys, gifts, or souvenirs to decorate the home. Ages 12 and up (12 & 13 year olds must be accompanied by a caregiver).

2 – 23 November (4 week course): Japanese Floral Painting
Join Japanese kiwi visual artist Amy Couling in this special floral painting workshop. Paint your own Japanese floral painting using watercolour and gouache inspired by the work of traditional Japanese artists. Learn about the significance and symbolism of seasonal flora in Japanese art and culture. All skill levels welcome, let’s have fun painting together!

27 July – 28 September (10 week course): Traditional Indian Madhubani Art. Not suitable for children under 14 years old.
The Art of Madhubani (which translates to a Forest of Honey) comes from the Indian state of Bihar. This traditional art form is bright and colourful and has detailed patterning on the borders. The subjects are usually animals, nature, villages and depictions of Hindu gods and goddesses. The 10-week course will take you through the background and descriptions of the various types of this art form and students will be able to produce their own artwork to take home with them. All materials will be provided.
