  • August is a 4-week block course weaving tī kōuka weed mats and designing flags for the Kāpūtahi Rongoa Reserve – in conjunction with The Green Lab.

Make artworks based on who we are and where we come from. Explore aspects of the art section of the new Aotearoa New Zealand’s Histories programme that will be taught in schools..

  • $5 casual or $3.50 with a 10-class pass, which costs $35 and is valid for a year to use with any of our Centre-run classes.
  • Apart from August’s block course, no enrolment or sign-up necessary. Jump in anytime but bookings ahead are advised as places are limited by the size of the room and these classes are popular. To book, email arts@tewhare.org or phone 981 2881.
  • Please note that we don’t offer any classes that are suitable for children under 6 years old. Children aged 6-13 must be accompanied by a caregiver.
