18 local artists exhibit weird and wonderful works made with materials not commonly used in the making of art. Materials include xrays, shopping lists, cutlery, onion skins, electronics, knitted seaweed, curtains and kitchen spices.

Eastside’s exciting annual show for emerging and mid-career artists features six artists exhibiting recent work.
 
Duncan Nash, winner of the 2022 Eastside Development Award through Arts Canterbury, exhibits mixed media works that include metal, spraypaint and his signature tin cans. Ian Batchelor exhibits short films from his “Planet Mesa Project” alongside the sculptured characters he used in their creation. Hannah Martin exhibits mixed media collage. Both Antoinette Wastney and Estefania Mondaca exhibit oil paintings and Emma Velde exhibits open acrylic works.
