Stride by Stride 2024: 17 June – 13 July

What an absolute stunner of show this year’s “Stride by Stride” is. The exhibition is on now at Eastside Gallery until 13 July and features 12 local artists in Eastside and another 4 in the Mini Gallery. Come and visit to show your support for their exciting recent works.

Artists include: Cheriene Singer, Dan J. Boyd, Gemma O’Neill, Helen Willcock, Jeanine Lillicrapp, John Clare, Olga Parr, Paulo Wellman, Redgie Walker-Small, Roslyn McLean, Sage Rossie and Thomas Proctor.

Another four artists are exhibiting works in the Mini Gallery: Andrew Kendrick, Ashleigh Ritchie, Shawn Ridley and Thung Chutrchaivech.

“Stride by Stride” is on our “progressive pathway” track, which is designed to offer exhibition opportunities as artists develop their practice. It sits between “First Steps” and “Eastside Spring”.

Exhibition Dates: 17 June – 13 July 2024

Location: Eastside Gallery, 388 Worcester St, Christchurch, free parking onsite.

Opening Hours: Tuesday-Saturday. Galleries 12-5pm. Classes start from 10am and run into the evening.

To Gaza with Love: 20 May – 15 June 2024

Organised by local artists, Eastside is hosting this exhibition of 26 artists who are donating recent artworks for this fundraiser show.
Intended as an expression of love and support for children living in dire circumstances in Gaza, proceeds will be donated to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund.
Artists include: Philip Trusttum, Marian Maguire, Thomas Hammond, Michael Springer, Nick Williamson, Rebecca Smallridge, Josh Bashford, Jon Jeet, Kim Lowe, Sarah Brown, Steve Lowndes, Jane Barry, Magdalene Clare, Robyn Webster, Helene Olivia Smith, Tamara Rookes, Ri Williamson, Greg Yee, Donna Hughes, Rebecca Harris, Nina Cook, Samantha Murray, Linda James, Akilah Hammond, Lucy Dolan Kang, Hamish Allan and Barb Gaeth in the Mini Gallery.
Opening night includes live music performed by Simurgh Music.
Opening Event: 5.30-7pm Monday 20 May, all welcome.
